Farewell to Smoking ("the App") is developed by Emre Dağ ("we", "us"). This policy explains what data the App handles and how.
The App lets you log cigarettes you smoke and view statistics about that history. All of this data — your records, your settings, your language preference — is stored only on your device, using local storage. It is never uploaded to us, we do not operate any server that receives it, and we have no access to it. Deleting the App or using its "Delete history" option erases it permanently; we cannot recover it, because we never had it.
The App shows ads served by Google AdMob to support free use of the App: banner ads, and optionally a rewarded video ad you can choose to watch to unlock certain features. Depending on your consent choices and, on iOS, your response to Apple's App Tracking Transparency (ATT) prompt, ads may be shown as personalized or non-personalized. If you decline tracking or do not consent, the App requests only non-personalized ads. Google AdMob may collect technical data (such as device type, general location from IP address, advertising identifiers, and ad interaction data) to serve ads, measure performance, and prevent fraud, under Google's own privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy. If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, the App shows Google's consent message when it first opens, and you can accept or decline personalized advertising there. In US states with their own privacy laws, the same Google message lets you opt out of your data being used for personalized ads. Where either applies, you can review or change your choice at any time in the App under Settings → Privacy choices. On iOS you can also allow or stop tracking at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
The App offers an optional, one-time purchase to unlock certain features. Purchases are billed and processed entirely by the Apple App Store or Google Play — we never see or store your payment details. We use RevenueCat to keep track of which purchases you have made and to keep that unlocked state in sync. RevenueCat receives a pseudonymous identifier for your app installation and your purchase/transaction data, but not your name, email, or payment information. The App can send you local reminder notifications about milestones you are approaching or have reached. These are scheduled and delivered entirely on your device by the operating system — no notification data is sent to, or generated by, any server we operate. You can disable notifications at any time in your device's Settings.
The App is not directed at children and is not intended for use by anyone below the minimum age at which local law permits engaging with tobacco-cessation content. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this same address with a new "last updated" date.
